Created by the team behind Tamarind Restaurant, recently launched Imli stems from an excellent family tree, serving Indian tapas style food at affordable prices. Located in the heart of Soho, Imli is ideal for pre-and post theatre dinner as well as being perfect for just popping in for a quick bite any time of the day. The bold dining room is decked out in fiery colours, creams and dark woods, a relaxing backdrop to mirror the traditional-shakes-hands-with-modern-day ethos that seems to surround the restaurant. The innovative cooking of our head chef, Samir Sadekar, has led him to be nominated for the 'National Best dish of 2006' award by Restaurant Magazine.

Imli in Wardour Street, Soho is one of the best Indian Tapas restaurants around. I have to say that the offer of a 2-4-1 meal got me in the door originally.We were a party of 7 and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food set before us from the Tasting Menu - usually £34 per person but with the 2-4-1, only £17.50 All round, very good value for money.
Imli in London was great, even got a free side dish thrown in!
We visited the Imli Restaurant in Wardour Street, London for a pre theatre meal, which we found great value for money as it also included a cocktail of our choice from a short menu.The service was very fast, maybe a little too fast as our main course arrived half way through our starter - not a problem on this occasion as we were in a bit of a rush going to the theatre afterwards, but a bit annoying if we had had a little more time to spare. Food was very well presented and of high quality.
Service was great, food was delicious, overall atmosphere was fab. A great time had by all. Highly recommend Imli for Indian food.
Imli restaurant - wardour street. Went there with two other friends. Had booked a table in advance which was good as place was quite busy on thursday evening. As promised, the starters (tapas style) were good and enjoyable. The main course dishes, although of good quality, could have been bigger. Service was good, although was surprised that they didnt swap plates after first coruse was over. all in all tho a pleasant experience.
