The Thames Indian
About The Thames Indian
The Thames Indian has been a fixture on the London dining scene since 1985, delighting city dwellers and tourists alike with its Bangladeshi and Indian food and keenly professional service. Cosy and welcoming, the clean, modern dining room with its almost hotel-restaurant look is situated only a few moments from the best of the South Bank, a hop, skip and jump from Waterloo Station while its very close proximity to the IMAX cinema makes it a popular choice for pre- or post-movie dining. Packed with well-known curry house favourites, The Thames Indian’s menu is familiar in its choices while also providing a few surprises in those less often sampled specialties of the house fresh from the homely kitchens of Bangladesh. Regular offers, including an excellent set lunch, ensure that The Thames Indian offers competitive prices, while its stalwart status is a guarantee of quality both in food and in service.

Pretty good, nice food, friendly service
A great meal at Thames Indian and great value with 50% off food. Drinks were reasonable too. Good location very close to Waterloo station.
Thames Indian is a small restaurant in Waterloo, we chose this place as it was near the station. 8 of us came here for dinner; the service was good, the atmosphere great as the restaurant was packed and overall we enjoyed the food. I like hot dishes, and for once, a dish rated 3 chillies was indeed hot and spicey so that was a plus!
Never eaten here before and did not know it existed - must have walked by many times. We only booked it as a pre-theatre 50% off offer and it was certainly well worth it. The food was very tasty and the offer made the price very reasonable. We would return.
Food was very tasty. With the 50% off offer, the meal was also an absolute bargain!
