really good food at the kapok tree, great service and nice staff

Met some friends for dinner at the Kapok Tree, Whitechapel. It's described as pan-asian but mains are mostly currys. The food was delicious, the decor smart and the service was charming. Somewhere a bit smarter than many places on Brick Lane.
Very pleasant , service was attentive . Very quite not may customers. we had a voucher so the menu was limited but what we had was very good.Cocktails good and reasonably priced.
The Kapok Tree, London Booked this restaurant for a birthday meal for 16 friends last Saturday. The service was attentive with an exceptionally friendly manager. The starters and mains were delicious and except for a couple of minor delays, all dishes were served hot and together. The decor and furniture is classy, immaculate and sleek and this is a great option if you live in East London and are tired of venturing in the City. After dinner drinks can be continued in the adjoining Lane Bar.
