Toptable says about Rhodes W1 Brasserie
Marble Arch's has become a somewhat of a gastro-destination thanks to celeb chef Gary Rhodes' W1 Brasserie. Located in the Cumberland Hotel, Chef Rhodes has brought his extraordinary passion for classic British cuisine to the table, complete with a stylish and fashionable restaurant to eat it in. Try melting braised oxtail with mashed potoatoes or whole grilled plaice with sweet red pepper butter. Save room for pudding though, as nearly all your favourites from childhood are on the menu. Our favourite? A world class sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce.

Having visited Gary Rhode's other restuarants, we booked Rhodes W1 Brasserie with high expectations and were not dissapointed in introducing our friends to the experience. Staff were very attentive and friendly, even when our guests ran over 1/2 an hour late. The limited menu is one of the attractions of a Rhode's restaurant, as you can guarantee that the quality is not going to be compromised. Brasserie is a more casual area that the main restaurant, but comfortable and not overly noisy.
Bland uninspirational food. British food doesn't need to be boring but here it is. Good service apart from missing a side order with the mains.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I took my mum to Rhodes W1 Brasserie. So I am pleased to say we found great friendly staff, who even though they wwere very busy were happy to take the time to ask how our stay in london was going, and suggesting places of interest to visit.
An amazing menu, excellent food, swift service without being made to feel we had to leave as soon as we had eaten.
I would happily recommend pannacotta with white chocolate and vanilla yummy!
I took a group of 7 to RhodesW1 on a Thurdsay evening. First impressions were spacious, pleasant atmosphere. I had to ask to order some wine and when the red came it wasn't good however they were quick to find something else. The food was great, not a murmur from any of the guests, only compliments. I think for me it just lacked that attention to detail with the service even though there were enough staff.
Rhodes W1 brasserie was delightful, we were spoilt for choice with the menu, the worst bit was trying to decide what to choose.
