Cookbook Cafe

About Cookbook Cafe

The Cookbook Cafe, in the luxurious InterContinental London Park Lane hotel, is something different – an interactive restaurant where customers are encouraged to share their own culinary expertise and recipes, help create menus, sample dishes and attend chef workshops. There’s a range of short menus under headings like Travel (where you might find a starter of ceviche of blue fin tuna with tempura prawn, lime and chilli dressing) and Tradition (with mains like fillet of beef with braised beef ravioli, parsnip purée, wild mushrooms and Madeira sauce). Gorgeous desserts might include warm bread and butter pudding with apricot compote and vanilla cream sauce.

Cookbook Cafe In London: I didn't realise that the restaurant was in the Intercontinental, we had to walk past the busy and acclaimed Theo Randall's to get to the deserted Cookbook. The menu was decent, although (I’m not a vegetarian) I'm sick of unimaginative chefs doing mushroom risotto as the veggie option. The service was very friendly and the food okay, my companions raved about their desserts but I was rather non-plussed. The biggest problem was the lack of atmosphere, I wont rush back

We had a lovely long lunch at the Cookbook Cafe in London. Everything was perfect as usual. It is probably my favorite place for lunch and so healthy! Also, great pineapple juice!! Wonderful service.

Food and service was very good. Toptable deal was excellent value for money. It was just a shame that the restaurant was very quiet and lacked ambience.

We had lunch in London at the Cookbook Cafe. As always, it was delicious, fresh and the service impeccable. The ambience is very comfortable and the sushi is just right - I usually don't like sushi. The consistent level of the quality is very reassuring. I just wish they would open a door closer to the restaurant. You have to walk through the hotel to get to it.
