A very long wait for starters to arrive and we even had to chase up the food, which is not something I would expect to do in this type of establishment. However, once the food did arrive it was delicious.
We had the tasting menu. The food was just amazing. We especially loved the Driver scallop & stoccafisso with cavolo nero & anchovy sauce. The service was good too.
Absolutely brilliant food and service. It was a our first time at L'Anima and definitely won't be our last. They were more than accommodating and helpful as I am pregnant and as my husband was curious about the quiet open kitchen, they took us in the back afterward to meet the team. It's a little quiet on Saturday evening, but frankly, I think it gave the serving team, sommelier and kitchen time to shine. If you haven't tried this restaurant, you really need to!
L'anima London was superb, even better than last time. Diver scallop was wonderfully presented and calves liver cooked superbly. Service was attentive and good.
Truly a treat! Whilst the greenhouse-esque void that is the L'Anima restaurant feels cold and empty, the service was far from it - warm and welcoming. The stone and glass environment makes for a clean environment to enjoy what is clearly the focus of the restaurant - the food. I couldn't fault a thing - perfect portions and presentation, and delicious. Truly delicious. Well worth a visit.
