Fairly empty for a friday night, but there was a fair amount of take away pizza traffic and we soon found out why. There wasn't much in the way of pasta on the menu so we both opted for pizza and they were very tasty. Lashings of anchovies, capers, fresh tomato sauce and not too cheesy. A chilled little place making it good for a beer and pizza in the evening.
Il Gustoso - London. It was fairly quiet when we arrived, another couple and a table of 4 adults and children all already eating. We had to wait a while before being given menus, and when we ordered, there was a wait of 30 mins before our starters arrived, our main courses turned up approx 20 mins after we'd finished our starters. The food was okay, but the menu was quite sparse. We were offered a free drink when we ordered the bill which was a nice touch! Not for those in a hurry!!
Great place and excellent value for money. Real family style feel
Another pleasant meal at Il Gustoso on Blyth Road. Great value too for their set menus with a wide selection. I'd recommend it for a casual neighbourhood gathering.
Il Gustoso on Blythe Road in Brook Green is a great Italian restaurant with an authentic flavour and a local feel. The food was delicious and prepared in an 'Italian way'. I certainly expect to go back there, it was a great place for a quiet meal.
