Climb the stairs of the world's tallest free-standing monument, to the newly refurbished public viewing platform 160ft above the ground.

  London Bridge was originally the only crossing for the Thames. The bascules of the bridge are operated by hydraulic power, but since 1976 they have been driven by oil and electricity rather than steam. The original pumping engines, accumulators and boilers are now exhibits within the Tower Bridge Exhibition.
