The Botanist
About The Botanist
Great care and attention to detail has gone in to creating The Botanist, a London restaurant with an enviable reputation and even better location, on famously well-heeled Sloane Square. For example, the restaurant’s name was not simply picked out of a hat by owners Tom and Ed Martin. No, The Botanist is named in honour of adventuring naturalist Sir Hans Sloane, whose name lives only in the square but in the vast collections he provided to The British and Natural History Museums. Light and sophisticated in its décor, it’s the small touches that make The Botanist’s dining room special – the wall of Victorian style scientific illustrations, the sophisticated deco chandeliers, the pewter-clad bar lined with high stools. Equally, the menus from breakfast right through to dinner, is all about the detail, the dishes primarily British but with international touches that will delight any dedicated globetrotter. A fine wine list, combining well known and rarer labels accompanies.

The Botanist in Sloane Square - delicious! Consistenly good food, very fresh. It's a very busy buzy atmosphere. Service is lovely as well.
Always a favourite for business lunches and never fails to impress.
I had lunch at The Botanist yesterday with two friends. The atomosphere is lovely with quite a buzz. the only downside is the noise level which makes it hard to hear the conversation at yoru own table. The service is good and the menu choices were perfect. I will definitely go back.
Food tastes great but is very heavy (lots of cream and butter). Restaurant designed to be quite noisy but service good and friendly.
Food and service were excellent as always! Staff was very accomodating and made sure we got the window seat we requested. The Botanist is always a pleasant experience - highly recommend it!
