    The Chocolate Festival returns to Southbank Centre just in time for Christmas shopping with even more chocolatiers, Christmas gift ideas and demonstrations. The Festival consists of dozens of stalls, all individually focused on chocolate - whether it is making it, drinking it, shaping it or eating it. Look out for kits to make raw chocolate at home, hot chocolate and even chocolate-infused savoury treats. This three-day free event includes a range of workshops and demonstrations where visitors get the chance to make chocolate truffles from raw cocoa, watch master chocolatiers in action, such as Best British Chocolatier 2009 William Curley, Damian Allsop and Paul Wayne Gregory, learn about the health benefits of chocolate and learn how to include chocolate in savoury dishes.

The area between the London Eye and the Royal Festival Hall becomes a Christmassy promenade for the young and the young-at-heart. Experience 60 traditionally decorated wooden chalets with beautiful lights selling a wide range of unique hand-crafted gifts and unusual Christmas presents. Toys made of wood, delicate glass Christmas tree ornaments, candles and many more Christmas products are offered in this magical winter atmosphere. Younger visitors can ride the carousel whilst parents relax, listening to traditional Christmas music.
