Toptable says about Stingray Cafe

Located around the corner from the Tufnell Park tube station in northwest London, the Stingray Café is a bright and bustling restaurant serving modern European fare with a Mediterranean twist. We love the relaxed atmosphere, and the family-friendly dining room is decorated throughout with stylish vibrant colours and dark wooden furniture. The kitchen at the Stingray – which has two other branches in Columbia Road and Highbury - is renowned for its thin-crust pizzas and gourmet daily specials. Locals love the duck and orange pate, the citrus marinated monkfish and the home made baklava, and the Stingray Café serves over 40 different wines along with beers, spirits and freshly squeezed organic juices.

Stingray is an old favourite and becoming more popular, which means service is sometimes sluggish. A popular venue with the locals, the food is always good and the menu changes frequently. Recommended.

The food was great and service also. The three courses for £12 plus champagne offer is excellent value. A great place to meet and chat with friends which is becoming increasingly popular.

Really good ratatouille and couscous gratin dish, plus good steak and chips. Food obviously fresh cos they had run out of two choices because they had been so popular at lunchtime! Waitress recommended an organic Argentinian white wine and it was very good. Well worth going for a good standard, good value meal.

Stingray is such a great local find that I don't really want to praise it too much! The relaxed atmosphere and great food is an antidote to pricey gastros that value appearance over quality. Excellent value and great food make Stingray an excellent choice for lunch or dinner.
