Bangalore Express

About Bangalore Express

Whoever dreamed of serving healthy, delicious Indian fusion food in a Tokyo-chic diner should be given a gold star. Bangalore Express in the Waterloo Road looks like a set from a Kylie video – we love the mint green colour scheme and the Scandinavian-style furniture – and the super-fresh menu attracts a hip crowd of students, savvy busines types and yummy mummies. Bangalore Express has free wi-fi, and draft and bottled beers are available alongside a full range of wines-by-the-glass and fresh lassies, smoothies and fresh juices. Don't miss the spice roasted duck dosas with masala mash, and the Caribbean curried goat with rice, sweet potatoes and plaintain chips.

The food at Bangalore was alright, but not as good as I'd been expecting from other reviews. However, for the price there were large portions and we all left feeling full. I liked the mini desert and coffee idea, but again the quality wasn't great. Sorry Bangalore!

Food great as usual, but instead of Bangalore Express it was Bangalore Spokes. Despite the place being empty (we even sat down an hour earlier than we booked) it took ages to get service. We complained, and it *still* took ages!

Six of us enjoyed a meal at the Bangalore Express opposite Waterloo Station in London. Food and service were excellent. The menu has a list of tapas style dishes to share, mains and sides. The choices were unusual and distinctive and all but the chilli squid delicious. My favourites were the goat curry, peanut chilli side dish and lambs liver tapas, but the only problem was that we would have liked to try more dishes. Our vegetarian diner was very well catered for both in range and flavours.
