The Talbot
About The Talbot
A relaxed pub-restaurant moments from Belgrave Square and Buckingham Palace, The Talbot is a popular stop off for Belgravia’s office population heading through to Victoria station as well as locals looking for somewhere unpretentious to dine. Elegantly appointed in the simplest décor, The Talbot has a timeless style which suits its transformation from local pub to quality restaurant. Of course the bar remains and it is, of course, extremely well stocked with both the traditional beers and wines as well as delicious cocktails which will tempt even the hardiest ale drinker. On menu expect those British favourites such as fish and chips or pie of the day but also a touch of European sophistication for the more refined diner.

Lovely venue, tucked away. Food was great, but service was a tad slow.
The Talbot | a pleasant lunch. Simple menu, generous portions good value for location. Great place if you're looking for an unpretentious central Belgravia hostelry. Black pepper crispy squid as a main course was good. Meal for four came to 20 pounds a head, including a nice bottle of Shiraz and one course each.
This came up as a kid-friendly option on Toptable, but we were there on a Friday afternoon and it was full of Belgravia workers haing their end-of-the-week refereshments and none of them looked particularly pleased to see a 12 year old there. The bar was understaffed and it took a long time to be waited on. Our waiter was very apologetic and the food turned out to be lovely (especially the pie, which we were told was beef and red wine but turned out to be chicken).
Quite hard to find. Salt and pepper squid is to die for!- tomato and mozzarella salad seemed abit small for the price. Burger and sausage and mash were average. Service was good.
Excellent place for nice food & drinks - very impressed - will be back!
