Tandoori Raj restaurant at the corner of just off High Holborn in London is an informal and authentic Indian restaurant serving both traditional and contemporary Indian dishes. This bijoux spot decorated in bright scarlet and modern white has a calm, minimalist feel. Outside, the signage is a riot of colour and neon, which means you can’t miss it. Usually stuffed with enthusiastic students of LSE next door – the future powers behind many thrones – and the BPP Law School, the ambience is bright and buzzing. There’s a terrific value lunch buffet, which is very welcome in this part of town. To many, Tandoori Raj is a favourite local gem.
