Woodlands

About Woodlands

A welcome addition to a celebrated group of local vegetarian Indian restaurants, Woodlands has earned a reputation as a good neighbourhood eatery here in leafy Hampstead. A calm space with neutral, earth toned décor, the Woodlands décor is modern and sophisticated with tasteful contemporary art works on the walls and a relaxing water feature. Skilled chefs work hard behind the kitchen door to create typical South Indian dishes entirely free from meat, many of them vegan and most free of unhealthy cream and butter too. An almost saintly organic wine list ensures that in the hands of the Woodlands team even alcohol is ethical.

Good food, excellent fresh and light meals. Not fatty at all and very authentic. The samosa chaat was AMAZING. Definitely going back.

Woodlands Hampstead is a great choice for a slightly different Indian meal. The menu is based on Southern Indian dishes and offered great choice at reasonable choices. It was a Wednesday night but unfortunately we were the only ones in the restaurant.

The staff at Woodlands in Hampstead was very attentive and friendly, the food was tasty, we went with the staff recommendation and weren't disappointed. Due to its location in Hampstead, the restaurant is a bit more expensive than other south Indian restaurants which offer the same quality of food but it's still affordable and good value. The ambience in the restaurant was very comfortable, the music not too loud, the room temperature just right and enough space to unwind.
