About Galvin at Windows Restaurant
Galvin at Windows, located on the 28th floor of The London Hilton on Park Lane, 22 Park Lane, launched on 19th May 2006 with celebrated chef Chris Galvin at the helm. Chris has created a modern French inspired menu and is joined in the kitchen by head chef André Garrett. Prior to the relaunch, the entire floor underwent a major transformation under the direction of United Designers’ Keith Hobbs, and now this iconic restaurant with peerless views across Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and London beyond, has a glamorous interior evoking the golden age of the 1930s.
Just six months after the launch of Galvin at Windows, in November 2006, the restaurant was awarded a Rémy Martin London restaurant award. In January this year general manager Fred Sirieix and his team were awarded the “Best Front of House” award at the prestigious Tatler restaurant awards 2007. Finally the restaurant was highlighted in the Michelin Guide 2007 as a rising star suggesting it will be awarded a Michelin star in 2008. Windows has always been a well-known landmark, renowned for its unrivaled views of London, now with Chris Galvin and André Garrett in the kitchen, Galvin at Windows is fast becoming one of London’s leading destination restaurants.
Toptable says about Galvin at Windows Restaurant
toptable Dining Awards 2009 - Runner Up: Best for RomanceUnder the design direction of Keith Hobbs, Galvin at Windows has emerged as a glamorous space that looks back to the decadent 1930's. Though the phenomenal wraparound views were reason to make this a destination restaurant, the addition of Chris Galvin's expertise in the kitchen now makes this a must. Having gained his first Michelin star at The Orrery, and then moving on to open the much-lauded Galvin, the food here is guaranteed to be as impressive as the views. Start with a bisque of native lobster, spring vegetables and Cognac to start, followed by braised monkfish, shrimp, mussel and saffron paella. Once you've caught your breath from the impressive vista of London, prepare to lose it again on puddings like basil crème brulee with strawberry ice cream.

We had a thoroughly great dining experience at Galvins at Windows. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more friendly. In such a difficult economic climate, the credit crunch offers are very much welcomed and made my birthday very special. The food was great, flawless evening. I will definitely recommend.
wonderful food, wine, atmosphere and plush surroundings. We had a table by the window w/view on Buckingham palace. The offer is very good as they give you some extra free of charge, like amuse bouche to start, petit fours etc.. to finish. Highly recommended.
I booked a table for two with the special offer at Galvin at Windows in the Hilton, we have been there before but this time was the most enjoyable from start to finish, the only embarissing thing of the evening was getting a bill for the full amount without the discount, when i called the waiter to point it out my friend thought i was causing a fuss which i didn't need as the evening had been so good until then, we couldn't fault the food, the wine was pricy but worth every sip, i highly recomme
The food at Galvin at Windows was disappointing, the artichoke soup did not taste of artichoke, only cream and the risotto was very salty. A pleasant place to visit if you have a money off option.
Lovely meal with attentive and friendly staff. Portions somewhat small. We had a very romantic, relaxed sunday lunch followed by great views and coctails- a perfet sunday!!
