Plateau Restaurant, Bar & Grill sits in a prime location at the top of the Canada Place building. The 1950's inspired interior design with its full glazed frontage provides a touch of Manhattan glamour with fabulous views a cross the park and oasis of calm above the hustle and bustle of Canary Wharf. The restaurant offers an attractive modern French menu and an interesting, accessible wine list. The more informal Bar & Grill menu includes grills, healthy regional French dishes, salads and dishes from the rotisserie.

Plateau has a wonderful location at the top of the Canada Place building, with views across the lawns and sculptures of Canada Square Park. This Canary Wharf restaurant with its modern British and European menu has two distinct dining areas divided by a central semi-open view kitchen. Also beneath the stunning glass and steel atrium is a bar and grill plus a more formal main restaurant. Each has their own individual outside terraces. There are two bars, a private dining room and a cigar room. The long glass frontage and part glazed ceiling means that the rooms are bathed in reflected natural light.

This the second time I went back to Le Plateau. The first time was great, the food was excellent. This time, the 2 course meal was a restrictive menu where we were not able to have oysters and I did not find the service to be as good as before. However I did have the Poussin which was nice.
Although we did visit the Plateu at a weekend and so i am sure had a much different atmosphere than the wharf in the week, it somehow lacked character and smoothness. Chairs had slight rips which was fully viewable. Starters were simple but pleasant, the stuffed bell peppers were delightful. Mains were on a different standard to the starters, mustard herb crusted poussain was a joy to eat and my fellow diners raved about the fish pie. It would have been overpriced if we had not used the offer.
plateau was a great place for lunch and had amazing cocktails
Great offer on currently which is excellent value for money. Bar great for drinks first! First class service and wonderful food! Great house wine too.
Overall everything was superb!
