Step under the red and yellow striped canvas of The Puppet Theatre Barge to enter a magical world of storytelling and adventure. Moored at Little Venice, the barge is one of London's most unusual theatre venues. With 55 seats, its intimate and unique location adds to the excitement, particularly for younger visitors. Each summer the barge actually sets sail for a floating tour of the Thames.

Events at Puppet Theatre Barge, Little Venice

  • Captain Grimey + The Three Pigs and the Wolf

    Family theatre/Pantomime

    6 Jun 2009 to 12 Jul 2009

Captain Grimey : Captain Grimey is the dirtiest, most miserable, one-legged sea captain in the world who likes nothing better than to pollute our seas. It is not until the Golden Dolphin befriends him and helps him to regain a decent wooden leg and to see the error of his ways, that he becomes Captain Shiney and finds true happiness in this humorous cautionary tale. The Three Pigs and the Wolf: A witty rendering of this popular tale complemented by specially commissioned music and script. The imaginative and enchanting figures bring new life to the characters - the three nimble pigs have an air of mischief and naivity, whereas the sly and wicked wolf has a hint of a wry smile. The Three Little Pigs promises to delight both adults and children - is an exciting crescendo leading up to the wolf meeting his grusome end in the cooking pot.
