About Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art
Collection of paintings and sculpture by 20thC Italian artists, with a core of Futurist works by Balla, Boccioni, Carra, Russolo and Severini. The collection also includes figurative art and sculpture created between 1890 and 1950 by artists such as Modigliani, Marino Marini, Giorgio Morandi and Giorgio de Chirico. The Collection is housed in a Georgian villa and also hosts temporary exhibitions, educational events and runs an art library. Alfresco lunches in garden cafe in summer and well stocked gallery shop.

Another Country: London Painters in dialogue with Modern Italian

This exhibition will showcase the reaction of ten London-based contemporary painters to the work of twentieth-century Italian artists. Each contribute a number of paintings, most of which have been created specifically for the exhibition, highlighting some of the connections made with the work of the Italian twentieth century, both in terms of ideas and practice.

Flavio de Marco: Portrait of a Collection

Contemporary Italian artist Flavio de Marco is best known for his works based on the landscape of the computer screen. In a series of paintings created specifically for this project, the worlds of the computer and twentieth-century Italian art elide to create extraordinary works. Portrait of a Collection will hang alongside the permanent collection, giving visitors the opportunity to view Flavio de Marco's works in the context of their inspiration and providing a new insight into our own masterpieces.
