About Quaglino's
From its inception by Giovanni Quaglino in 1929, to its reinvention by Terence Conran in 1991, Quaglino's remains one of the capital's most glamorous dining destinations. Inspired by the great Parisian brasseries of the late 19th century, Quaglino's stands for a modern-day equivalent for London in the 21st century.
You can't help but make an entrance as you sweep down the restaurant's iconic staircase to the animated chatter of a big restaurant in full swing. Beautiful people, majestic columns, a show stopping crustacea altar, all play their part in retaining the spirit and glamour of its illustrious past.
Head Chef Konrad Inghelram offers brasserie-inspired cuisine with an indulgent twist, and pays homage to the Quaglino's Crustacea Altar. This Autumn be sure to try some of the signature dishes from the restaurant’s opening making a comeback and enjoy some retro-cool glamour as you sample Coquilles St. Jacques to start, Confit duck with flageolet beans for mains and finish with a fantastic flaming Baked Alaska.
There's also a buzzy bar with regular live music and a late-night licence, serving glamorous cocktails until 3.00am Friday and Saturday.
Always a hot favourite with the Fashion Pack, West End girls and elegantly attired tourists; Quaglino's is a London tradition, which is always out to impress.

We had a redeeming points menu on a saturday night at Quaglino's. The welcome was good and then we were shown to our table in what seemed to be the Toptable area, right next to the kitchen. The menu had a choice of 3 items and the food was ok. The only downside was that the mains were not big enough without sides and £4 for chips is excessive. The restaurant is nice but the most popular choices even from the full menu seemed to be burgers or fish and chips.
Friday 20 March booked post theatre meal at Quaglino's, as they advertise themselves with Jazz singer and having a late bar perfect we thought for a late evening out, although the food was OK we were very disappointed. We were a table of 8 and good job as there were only about another 3 tables occupied so no atmosphere at all, and the whole service seemed rushed as though they could not wait for us to leave. Will not return.
The atmosphere in Quaglino's was really nice especially with the live music in the bar. But we felt like inferior customers just because we had the set menu - when we arrived our table was the only one that was not set properly, the food was luke warm and salty and service slow. Also, everyone else's portions who weren't on the TT offer seemed to be a lot larger. So not totally convinced it was a good deal. The creme brulee was amazing though, and larger than my main course!
Me and my husband dined in Quaglinos last night for our wedding annerversary and redeemed our toptable points - the bar is very funky over looking the restaurant - was very busy for a wednesday night and the food and service was very good - choice of three dishes at each course - my goats cheese salad was very nice as was my chicken - you can buy extas if you wish. nice wine list to choose from - and would recommend and return. great for groups and couples :-)
Overall dinner at Quaglinos was very good. I was claiming my 'free' meal through toptable and my partner was dinining on the 3 courses for £20 with a glass of champagne. In the end it costed £50 in total ( for service bottle of water, two beers, a side of mashed potato and two fruit cocktails). I think it would have been expensive without the offers. The selection is not very large but all dishes were tasty and well presented. The service was very attentative. Would go again.
