Great food and great service but after lunch discovered it is much cheaper to go for a pre-theatre than lunch on Saturday which seems a bit of off when the menu was so similar.
Almeida in Islington is a very pleasant restaurant with an appropriately high standard of cooking, presentation and service for its price range. It's a shame that many desserts have gelatin, ruling them out for vegetarians. (The separate vegetarian menu on their web site is in fact no longer available, and so should definitely be taken down, but there are a few options on the main menu which were very enjoyable.)
The Almeida, Islington is one of my favourite restaurants. Friendly service, excellent value on Top Table, and consistently good food. Hard to beat.
Good food although a bit over seasoned with salt. Have had better meals there in the past......
We were again offered a table with no tablecloth, this time they changed us to another table. The Toptable special menu was beautifully cooked, well presented and the portions adequate. We could not have managed a third course. We will definitely go again.
