About The Telegraph

Putney Heath’s The Telegraph is a country pub and restaurant in a city setting. Dating back to 1856, The Telegraph retains much of the charm of a traditional pub yet offers a very modern approach to dining at the same time. Tucked away from busy roads and prying eyes, The Telegraph is surrounded by the greenery of the Heath, providing visitors with an opportunity to really get away from it all as they relax in the stylish bar and dining room or under the vine laden pergola of the pub’s pretty garden. Though unpretentious, The Telegraph’s menu is nonetheless full of beautifully presented and deliciously skillfully prepared dishes. Pub classics are listed alongside modern European plates and excellent grazing boards.

We have been many times to the Telegraph pub as it is on the corner of where we live. I feel that they need to upgrade the interior of the pub as it is looking a bit run down, but understand this is in the pipeline. Service was terrible (not due to the staff but rather lack of it - if the pub wants to run a 'gastro pub' with prices to match they need to have dedicated staff to run it, however hav ing said that the food was excellent, but would not return until they have sufficient staff to cope

The Telegraph in Putney Heath is our local pub & we are regulars here. We have always been very happy with the food, service, ambience etc but today was somewhat disappointing. Perhaps because it was a busy Sunday lunch session (we would normally drop in midweek for dinner or occasionally lunch), but the choice on the menu was more limited than we would expect with only 1 veggie option of starter & main. The food was fine but not great so was not impressive value for money.

The telegraph is a wonderful venue, you fel like you are out in the country - the food is great, may seem pricey for pub grub but that is not what this is - the food is of a great standard and very well presernted - would definitely recommend without hesitation.
