Toptable says about Thai Square - Hanover Square

Compact and bijou, in a traditionally Thai kind of way, Thai Square on Princes Street (round the corner from Oxford Street) is a top spot for quick lunches and relaxed, good value dinners after a day's shopping, or before a night out. Authentic decor is mixed with minimalist modern touches to create a calming, relaxed space, but it's the food that really attracts the crowds. The reliable menu offers the usual suspects of green and red curries as well as good salads including pla goong, spicy prawn salad with lemongrass, chilli and herbs, and tasty specials. A separate vegetarian menu serves non-meat eaters. Fast and efficient service gets top marks.

Thai Square is a good place to have a quick lunch though it's a bit overrated i think. It's a very casual restaurant (which looks more like a canteen) - you won't choose it for a special dine out or take your date to. Food is ok and straightforward but nothing special.

You can always rely in Thai Square (Princes Street) for good value well cooked Thai food, service was excellent as usual they did make a mistake on the bill but recitifed it immediatley with no quible. My only complaint was that I ordered my usual chicken with cashewnuts and chilli and i'm not sure why but it wasn't to it's usual standard (it was edible tho'). My friends ordered veggie green curry & beef red curry and were both happy so it was only my dish that didn't make the mark this time.

We went to Thai Square, Hanover Square for a Christmas Eve meal. Suspect we didn't pick a great night for ambience. However the staff were polite and the service was very good. Food was excellent value for money. Would certainlyrecommend and we will revisit in the New Year.

Thai Square - Hanover square was a great place for food before the theatre. The service was very nice and the food delicious and very well presented. Portions could have been a little bigger, but apart for that, great!

You can always rely on Thai Square - Hanover Square to provide you with excellent Thai food at a reasonable price and colourful surroundings. Portions are huge, service is friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Food was lovely as always and worked out at £18 a head - which when you consider we all had tthree courses plus two alcoholic drinks eah is not bad going at all!
