The Thai

About The Thai

With a reputation for serving the best Thai food in town, The Thai on Chelsea’s Pelham Street is a consistently popular choice for those passionate about East Asian cookery. Beautifully appointed in an impeccable choice of muted, tasteful tones matched with the regal trademark aubergine and gold that also mark out the exterior, The Thai’s dining room and bar are both extremely modern and elegantly traditional, the Buddhist emblem of the lotus flower seen repeatedly alongside large gold statues, purple-tipped orchids and vibrant touches of silk. A generous collection of dishes makes up The Thai’s menu, a host of choices recognised as the most deliciously, recognisably authentic representations of the Thailand kitchen, including curries, salads and sizzling stir fries. A fabulously varied drinks menu has ensured that The Thai is equally popular as a place to meet and relax as to feast and gives diners an opportunity to really relax with after dinner drinks without the need to rush.

The Thai is great value for money with the set lunch menu and normally the restaurant is on top form, but the service let it down ever so slightly today.

The Thai was really tasty and quick, they have a great value lunchtime set menu, 2 courses for £9.95. We will most definitely return again and again!

Four of us went to The Thai for dinner on a Saturday night and we had a lovely experience. The staff was attentive when it came to specific allergies of the group and we all found something nice to have, though the vegetarian options are a bit limited.

Book-ended between two Patara's in the Brompton area can't be easy but The Thai is OK. Service is a bit haphazard and dishes can be inconsistent but it won't let you down.
