Toptable says about Joe Allen
Joe Allen restaurant, down a London side street in the heart of the Theatre District, is a London institution that, like the London Eye, remains lively and fascinating. It used to be that you had to work to find the dark door and tiny plaque by the entrance, now a proper awning marks the spot. Descend into theatrical nirvana, an exposed-brick dark-wood New York-style complex plastered with show posters, photos, and programmes. The long bar, seasonally-changing North American menu, and seriously A-list regulars are all crowd-pleasers. Jimmy the resident pianist has been playing six nights a week since the doors opened thirty years ago. Casual, reliable, and open from lunch til late, Joe Allen is one of the West End's biggest hits

Great ribs, yummy cocktails, friendly staff, dyson hand-dryers in the loos! Highly recommended.
As always, a good lunch at Joe Allen's. Nicely busy, good buzzy atmosphere. Service good.
Joe Allen's is a great place for both lunch and dinner. The food is good, service friendly, and the location of course excellent.
Usually like it here, but service was off. they brought free desert and coffee to mke up for it, which was nice. food was still good, though.
A group of 12 of us went for dinner at Joe Allens and although the ambience was great, our waitress was not the friendliest and the food was very average considering what we paid. Wont be returning in a hurry.
