The Albion
About The Albion
A Georgian gem in London’s vibrant Islington, The Albion is a country style pub restaurant with a little urban gloss. Originally situated in an area of farmland where Londoners would escape from the smoggy city, The Albion is now a part of the sprawl but remains a retreat from the stress of London life, a relaxed space where time stands still before roaring log fires or in pretty walled gardens. Noted for its Sunday lunches, The Albion’s kitchen has been hailed as one of the best by The Guardian, The Observer and The Independent. It’s not hard to see why. Combining British tradition and seasonality, the hearty yet delicate dishes really are the beating heart of this wonderful pub.

Good as ever, enjoyed the fish cakes best
Great menu, and really attentive staff. Food was very good! My only complaint is that the dining room was very cold, so we didn't stay very long. I would always recommend The Albion
We had a late Saturday lunch 3.30PM, last orders on a Saturday 4Pm. Staff made us very welcome and we were given a nice table overlooking the patio garden. The meal was very good and house wine unusually good and well priced. We will definately go there again. We have seen some old reviews dating back to 2009. These should be removed as they no longer do the place justice. We met the manager to talk about holding a function there, she was very nice, professional and could not do enough.
Great food and service as always. Just shame we couldn't stay on our table longer.
Very busy pub bt great atmosphere and good food.Don't come if you want a quiet corner for a chat !
