Champor-Champor
About Champor-Champor
Taking its name from the Malaysian take on ‘mix and match’, Champor Champor is an Asian restaurant unlike any other. Quirky and wilfully eccentric, Champor Champor’s interior very much lives up to the restaurant’s name with a fabulous mix of colours and materials worked together, complemented by silk lightshades, wood carvings, modern artworks and old artefacts straight from Malaysia, giving the entire restaurant a cosy, bohemian feel under the dim glow of flickering candlelight. A delicious modern Asian fusion menu mixes and matches the flavours of Malaysia with hints of East, South East and South Asia and just a sprinkling of the West too. For the most intimate experience, request Champor Champor’s tiny, quirky mezzanine table with its eyrie view over the rest of the room.

Very special evening. Little touches such as the hor d'oeurves a really nice touch and the main courses were superb.
The restaurant was a little difficult to find, small with a decent look, sadly the food didn't inspire me to visit again. Champor-Champor would be a place I'd visit again after a long night out in London if I didn't care about the price
A Real gem! the restaurant feels like a little treasure trove, great place for a date. Service was quick and menu was unique (fusion of moroccan and Malaysian) yet very delicious. Must try - the Monkfish, the lamb neck and definitely the Tom Yum brûlée (sounds strange but the flavours really worked! )
Champor-Champor 62 Weston Street, London, SE1 3QJ Great foo and interesting dining experience - would recommend.
Champor Champor serves wonderfully eclectic Malaysian themed dishes, bursting with innovative flavours. The caramelised satsuma dessert was a little hard going to eat, as the sugar set quickly, clinging to our teeth like superglue, and could clearly benefit from more of a fudge consistency. The decor is interesting rustic Malay. On balance, the cost seemed expensive at £115 for two with a modest wine, but it is an experience worth taking.
