Public transport: From the station you can either walk or take the bus. The buss you will need to catch is the 371 which stops outside the train station. The stop is just before a small pub on the left hand side of the road called The Lass of Richmond, you will need to cross over the road once you are off the bus. Follow the path up to the end of the road, on your right there is and entrance to a car park, go through this car park and continue through to the next car park. The second car park is for the Richmond Hill Hotel. You can use either Hotel entrance, although the furthest entrance away from you actually takes you straight through to the Hotel's main reception area. If you are walking it takes about 10 minutes. Come out of the station and turn left, continue walking down this road. When you get to Ted Baker (on your left hand side) cross over the road and follow all the way down until you see the Post Office - opposite. Turn left and walk towards and past Waterstones as you pass the Odeon Cinema and the roundabout the road forks, follow the upper road - this is Richmond Hill. Continue walking up the road until you reach a bend in the road. Cross over the road and continue walking to the crest of the hill. You will pass some large houses, one of which has scaffolding around it and a large crane. The Richmond Hill Hotel is on your left hand side.

We had an amazing 2 days at this lovely hotel. The reason for the visit and stay was a family birthday. We all met up at the hotel to find our rooms ready early and well above our expectations. The use of the leisure club was afantastic bonus. For the duration of our stay we found the staff not only friendly but very helpfull. From the efficient recieption staff to the porters who helped with baggage. We also used the hotel restaurant for our celebration dinner, The food was superb thestaff again were very effiecent but not over bearing. They even held back our Cake untill the precise time we had asked to have it brought out. I have to say overall the whole exsperience was a joy.

WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO BOTH FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES.

Many thanks again Richmond Hill Hotel.

Our room was very small - make sure you ask for a non-carpark facing room when you check in.

Our room was quiet , but only when cars were not parking and the establishment next door was not emptying bottles into the recycling bin.

The location is good if you want to visit the local Twickenham/Thames/Kew attractions.

The price was OK (booked through lastminute), although you can find a lot better in central London for not much more.

The free car park outside the hotel is welcomed and overall although a quick stay, was pleasant if not enjoyable. The check in was quick but no information about what the hotel had to offer was given at reception. No newspapers were offered as you would expect with a four star hotel and the welcome from the staff was cold if not non-existent. If you have more luggage than an overnight bag I would advise you to take the stairs as the lift is very small and only enough room for yourself and a bag.

I had a single room and it was well decorated with a modern but traditional twist. Room facilities were comprehensive and in keep with the design of the living space. The bathroom was again appropriately designed and decorated and was immacuately clean with an extremely powerful shower. The hot towel rack however did not work. Great t.v although improved aerial reception is needed and there were very few freeview channels available. Overall a good nights sleep in a comfortable and good sized bed.

Due to business requirements, I managed to eat in the restaurant with a client and although an unusual layout, did fit in with the theme of the hotel. The waitering service was inconsistent and the fact that no bread rolls were served was dissappointing in a Rosette standard restaurant. The food was as expected and of a high standard although it did not excel.

The room service breakfast was dead on time and well presented by a courteous waitress. I got what I had ordered and a vast amount more ranging from a full cooked english, toast, fruit to a continental ham, cheese and pastries. Although it later transpired they tried to charge me for both when I had only ordered the full english. What made this worse was that breakfast was already included in the room bill I had paid on arrival.

Overall, the quality of products on offer from this hotel is of a high quality but the quality of service could do with some improvements and a more personal recognition of guests and what they have been offered in terms of deals would be of great benefit to the Richmond team.

I would stay there again to experience it for a second time and would happily take the missus for brownie points.

We stayed overnight to attend a friends wedding reception at the hotel. We booked room only through late bookings. Firstly when we booked in we were offered breakfast at £10.00 per head which we accepted. We were issued vouchers to present at breakfast. We ordered sandwiches from the bar, these were brought quickly but they were not what we ordered

The wedding breakfast was served and the food was reasonable but we had finished our meal before the last table had been served. The wine was also extremely slow in being served. The first we saw of any wine was during the second course. There were about 150 people seated.

Breakfast was chaotic. We waited in vain to be seated and to present our vouchers. We eventually seated ourselves and at no time did anyone enquire as to our room number or ask for the vouchers, we could have walked in off the street. Very few of the waitresses could speak English and asking for coffee, toast, salt and pepper etc wasalmost impossible. There was a self service bar for the cooked breakfast. When items ran out e.g. eggs bacon etc it was some time before they were replaced. I think maybe that the staff were making he best of a bad job, but i suspect the hotel is understaffed and management sloppy.

The room was clean but small and certainly not worth the £140.00 per night price tag. We noticed maids still working late into the afternoon with dirty linen and cleaners trollys in the coridoors.

stayed 3 nights and loved location near park with pleasant mile walk to station. reception pleasant on arrival. room small but clean, bed fine.

the faults .. room ok but bathroom not up to 4star class, tired and basic. sound insulation from room above non existant. chamber maid very nice but took our bathroom towels away twice without replacing them and failed twice to replace milk/coffee satchets. Not big problem just few extra trips to reception !

All in all could recomend this place as long as you get some sort of deal on room rate because it's nice but not 4 star.
