Toptable says about Artigiano

Ciao, bella! Artigiano shows just how glossy Italian high style can be, with its stylish chrome interior, high-concept lighting, rear glass ceiling, and glass front that opens like pairs of welcoming arms when the weather allows. Don't miss the 'Oscar' donated by a satisfied diner. Lunches are relaxed and calm, while dinners are buzzier. The confident, modern Italian menu's most popular dish is the spaghetti with fresh crab and rocket with a spicy crab sauce. Old favourites have got a delicious new twist, like carpaccio with homemade pesto dressing or calf's liver with wild mushrooms and fava beans. High style, great food. Please be aware, bookings for Saturday nights must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

Great lunch - atmosphere was perfect for Sunday with friends. Although my starter was delayed this was dealt with brilliantly by the staff - and it was well worth the wait! Would return.

A we had birthday dinner for two at Artigiano and it was a delight. Excellent service. My calves liver with onions in balsamic was beautifully cooked exactly as I asked for it to be done. Very much liked the room. Perfect example of a local Italian restaurant., light bright, fresh and yet cosy.

Service was exactly as previous reviewers said. Highly attentive and friendly service at Artigiano on arrival but come pudding time, they were busy with others in this busy Belsize village restaurant. It's odd they don't read these reviews! Visually every dish looks quite exotic. Signed photos of Bono, Madonna and Hugh Lawrie were on the walls, no doubt amongst others peering down at us while we had a very tasty and relaxed meal. Good standard. Enjoyed our trip up from Hampshire !

This was my first visit to Artigiano. It is modern pleasing design without being overstated. The food was very good and we were very happy with the service given -they offered a liquor as we waited for a taxi. Certainly would go again.

We enjoyed our lunch at Artigiano, a smart well run Italian restaurant with a reasonably priced lunchtime menu @ £14 for 2 courses.
