Tiles Wine Bar and Restaurant
About Tiles Wine Bar and Restaurant
Essentially two venues in one, Tiles Wine Bar and Restaurant on London’s Buckingham Palace Road really does offer something for everybody. With its Mediterranean vibe and views out to the bustling streets of Victoria, the ground floor restaurant of Tiles is a vibrant but relaxed getaway with a cosmopolitan look and feel. Here you’ll enjoy great British and European food from very affordable lunch and dinner menus, as well as regularly changing specials, accompanied by top wines from the carefully selected single vineyard wine list that has made Tiles one of the best places in the area for really good grape. Below stairs, Tiles becomes a little funkier, the lounge bar providing comfortable sofas on which to get comfortable and enjoy not only the wine list but a varied snack menu and laid back music throughout the evening. This variety makes Tiles as perfect a spot for after work drinks as for a lunchtime business meeting or a romantic dinner and as popular with the fashionable locals of this upmarket neighbourhood as with the suits from the nearby offices.

Tiles in London was a nice meal for a quiet Friday evening. Good job we booked as most tables were booked up there. Had a simple one course which was enough, if a little flavourless. Lack of option with accompanying carb was frustrating - it was mash or mash! Wine was nice and inexpensive though and staff friendly.
Lovely meal in Tiles Victoria again. I had the Argentinian steak this time and it was one of the tenderiest, juiciest steaks I have ever had. Nice attentive service too
Tiles Restaurant in Victoria (SW London) was a great venue for lunch, offered a hearty menu for this time of year and the food came in good sized portions. Would recommend as the meal plus glass of wine offered good value for money. My only criticism being that the front door kept blowing open which made the restaurant cold.
Found Tiles Wine Bar quite crowded and cramped on a Wednesday evening at 6.30. Presumably full of pre theatre diners. Wasn't until we went to the toilet that we realised there was a downstairs section which would have been much better for a leisurely meal.
