Toptable says about Auberge Bar & Restaurant
Located directly opposite Waterloo station in south London – Auberge is a traditional French eatery with a contemporary Parisian twist. The dining room at Auberge has a rustic vibe and is decorated with cream walls, chunky wooden furniture and royal blue accents, making it the perfect venue for business lunches, office parties and pre-commuting meals. The ground floor boasts a Belgian-style bar ideal for after-work drinks, and the provincial menu at Auberge includes all of your French bistro classics. We love the soup á l'oignon with gruyére croutons; the moules mariniere with shallots, white wine, garlic and parsley; and the magret de canard – duck breast with roasted potatoes, braised Savoy cabbage and Cointreau sauce.

Very convnient for Waterloo and Southbank. Went for a pre theater meal on a Saturday and only the cafe bar was open which did lack atmosphere. However very good if you want to chat and have a good value for money meal. The lamb and duck were very enjoyable but not outstsanding.
Auberge has a good variety on the menu - and wonderfully close to Waterloo station
We booked the restaurant in the Auberge-Waterloo for New Year's Eve and found that it was closed that evening and we had a table in the bar. Consequently it was very noisy. Not much conversation was possible.
But the food was very good as was the service, although it was incredibly busy.
Wouldn't mind going back to see what the restaurant is like.
Auberge - Waterloo - as always - does not disappoint. Good value menu, nice quality food. Cheerful service on what had to have been one of the busiest nights of the year.
We dined at Auberge on a Wednesday night in December and were thoroughly satisfied with our meal. We had the chicken liver as a starter which was a huge portion followed by the mussels (starter size) which were also very good though the mussels themselves were very small. Could have done with a finger bowl or moist towel!. Lighting quite dim to read the menu but otherwise service excellent and food very tasty.
