Le Metro Wine Bar & Bistro

About Le Metro Wine Bar & Bistro

Le Metro Wine Bar & Bistro is a modern all-dayer restaurant. While the name sounds French, food here is decidedly British; quality produce is used to create an appealing array of small plates and larger classic homemade dishes. The interior offers a mix of comfortable banquette seating, or tables and stools at the marble-topped bar, underlining the venue’s suitability for everything from a quick coffee or glass of wine to a full sit-down meal. The menu offers some very British comfort food (pork scratchings, or haddock and chips anyone?) as well as some more refined options like beetroot cured smoked salmon with horseradish cream. There’s also a full afternoon tea, or champagne afternoon tea if you want to push the boat out, available from 3 to 6pm every day. Tucked away behind Harrods and Harvey Nichols, Le Metro is a firm favourite with those who delight in straying from the beaten track. A hidden gem that we suggest you find!

Le Metro in Knightsbridge was pleasant. The small plate starters were good but the main course unremarkable - indeed the burgers were overcooked and very solid - steak knives might have made it feel less like heavy going! Toilet was pleasant but one unisex cubicle for the hotel lobby and restaurant was optimistic design

This was not my first vist to Le Metro and will not be my last. The menu offers great value for money and the service is good.

Excellent meal and attentive service in this cosy basement bar and bistro close to Harrods. Very busy even on a Saturday lunchtime with posh locals and upmarket shoppers. We'll be back.

Very nice breakfast, delicious smoked salmon & scrambled eggs and truely superb coffee. Just a tad pricey for breakfast with multiple juices & coffees charged per serving but would return happily

food was alright... we were one of 2 tables seated for dinner, so the service was quite good. good place to catch up with friends since it's not too loud or busy :)
