The Hampshire Hog

About The Hampshire Hog

The Hampshire Hog is a hip and kooky west London pub and restaurant only a hop, skip and a jump away from Ravenscourt Park on King Street. The Hampshire Hog is decorated with clean lines, white walls and blonde wooden floors providing a blank and bright canvas for the eclectic mix ‘n’ match collection of vintage furniture and bright accents. Banquettes are scattered with colourful cushions made from textiles with a botanical bent, and the whole space has a cosy, crafty feel. The menu is British with a rustic twist, and The Hampshire Hog serves coffee from Caravan on Exmouth Market, and tea from Rare Tea Co. in Primrose Hill. Stylish, spirited and spacious, this is a little west London gem.

We chose the Hampshire Hog for a late dinner on bank holiday Sunday to meet an old friend. We booked a table for 10.30pm through Toptable and upon our arrival were told that we shouldn't have been allowed to book so late. They then offered to seat us out of the goodness of their hearts, supplying us with the most arrogant and insincere waiter I have met who throughout the meal proceeded to patronise us and make us feel like we were doing him the favour. Simple tasty food; obnoxious staff.

Have lunch here. Good home food, big portions a little bit fatty as for me, but I am on a diet all the way

Busy on Thursday before Easter, the staff seemed tentative. Small tables (for two) let down good food. Probably best to visit as a group.

Okay for a gastropub, disappointing venison main. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.
