About Terrace Restaurant

A quiet, intimate restaurant offering delicious home cooked food, the Terrace Restaurant is located within the grand Blakemore Hyde Park Hotel in one of London’s most exclusive areas. A superior four star hotel, The Blakemore Hyde Park has a beautiful Victorian façade, unchanged over the years to maintain the character of the building, however inside the refurbished interior is cleanly modern, blending classic style with contemporary comfort and convenience. Within the Terrace Restaurant for example you’ll find a very stylish décor, which, along with the unobtrusive service, creates a pleasantly laid back, hushed atmosphere simply made for romantic dinners, up-market business dining or catch ups with friends. Food at Terrace is similarly themed, both displaying contemporary style and simplicity but a traditionalism in the English-ness of the dishes. After dining, we thoroughly recommend a relaxing drink in the Lounge Bar, a perfect spot in which to continue unwinding after a day in the capital.

We enjoyed Valentines dinner at Blakemore Hyde Park Hotel. The food was delicious but too much. the sorbet was two large scoops and could have been dessert. The service was fine but I could have done without the TV playing in the next room. The chef is a bit heavy handed with the black pepper otherwise a very nice dinner. The box of choclate was another nice touch

Good stuff in most respects, the Blakemore Terrace -- if perhaps a slightly limited menu (and the traditional London drinks overpricing!). A very big Salade Nicoise starter was more than ample, split between two; the mains were an excellent chicken in lemon. Ambience was OK -- just a bit odd to be so close to the main entrance/Reception. Pleasant service; decent loos (but far!). They were also very flexible over our arrival time, siince we were coming from a business appointment some way away.
