The Bengal

About The Bengal

The Bengal Indian restaurant in London’s Bayswater can be found a short stroll from the heaving madness of the Queensway, a few steps from Royal Oak tube station. This authentic Northern Indian/Bengali is a customer-oriented, welcoming spot with cuisine that has earned a large, loyal fanbase. The shopfront restaurant itself is charming and well decorated. Chef Abdul Malik’s signature dishes include Bengal special chicken, special lamb, mixed grill and king prawn sizzler. All meats are halal. Bengal’s kitchens have served divine Indian dishes to equally divine film gods like Paul Newman and Tom Cruise, who adored every bite. Great ambience.

We had a lovely meal on the eve of New Year at the Bengal restaurant in Bayswater. We are regular customers and in our opinion this is the best Indian food in the area!

We had a lovely family meal at The Bengal Restaurant, Porchester Road. As always, the food was absolutely delishious and the staff was very friendly and attentive. A little gem of a restaurant!

The Bengal, London is small and cosy. Very charming and attentive staff and quick service. Our fellow customers were somewhat eclectic and the close apposition of tables meant we had to contend with their conversation which was not entirely welcome. Food very good value though. Perhaps we'll get take away next time!!

We had a meal at the Bengal, Bayswater, London - my favourite local Indian restaurant. The staff were friendly, they always are. We do get take aways from this restaurant all the time. The only thing that I would like to comment on this particular visit was that the lamb in the Rhogan Josh was a little bit chewy - otherwise we enjoyed our meal!
