Workshop Coffee

About Workshop Coffee

Located in a converted Clerkenwell warehouse in east London, Workshop Coffee has a casual and informal coffee bar on the ground floor and a relaxed yet beautiful café on the first floor. Bare brick and exposed steel work are in abundance, and a living wall of plants towers up towards the kitchen accessed by a steel and glass bridge over the roasting floor, lit by the glass ceiling. While attention to roasting, brewing and serving excellent coffee is always at the fore, the team at Workshop Coffee also pride themselves on their fresh and constantly evolving breakfast, lunch and brunch dishes that are served alongside a focused list of wines and craft beers. A range of pastries, cakes and biscuits are baked on site each morning, and Workshop Coffee is ideal for lunch meetings, business breakfasts, gossipy afternoon tea dates and cosy tables for two.

Very nice place, too bad that they only do one sandwich on the menu for lunch... but the sandwich was gorgeous! Def go back again, esp in the evening.

We've visited Workshop Coffee (formerly St Ali) for brunch several times (very good!) and visited for the newly opened dinner options. Was not dissapointed. Very quiet on a Tuesday night but service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Burger was very good and decent value. Small wine list but good, affordable options. Will return.

St Ali/Workshop coffee is a great brunch venue and I was interested to see what dinner would be like. It was great- the venue worked well, wine was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend the burger- delicious! Great value for money too. The fishcake wasnt great in comparison- but maybe we got unlucky, I will definitely be trying it again!
