Despite the surroundings needing a bit of a rethink, the food was absolutely spot on. We had delicious, authentic, family style food. I'd recommend returning

Abi Restaurant in Archway Road. We were the sole diners at 6pm on a wet Friday. Service very friendly and food was fine, although both my main vegetarian dishes arrived luke warm; aubergine masala & aloo jera. The special biriani arrived hot and was plentiful. House red wine by the glass was good sized bold, hearty & easy to drink. My only concern was that glassware was not clean and the undersides of the plates felt sticky. Good for a quick meal, but not a place to linger.
