This restaurant is nicely run, excellent service and value for money. It is quite new and has against it a slightly unfortunate location. There is street parking nearby but it is not in an attractive area where it would be enlivened by passing trade. Food is straightforward Italian - seafood linguine was quite good but the steak was somewhat tough. Puddings, antipasto and soups all excellent. Very friendly service but ambience hardly atmospheric - functional and quiet.

Bella Nonna Trattoria Northwood.Distictly average food in not very comfy surroundings.Excellent friendly service let down by mediocre food.Starters polpette very dense & chewy, prawn cocktails served on yellow & tired lettuce, tiger prawns tasty.Mains of chicken with mushroom sauce & rack of lamb both pretty unexciting.Chicken sauce was cloying and tasteless, chicken dry, chips although hot were a little raw & tasted of old cooking oil.Lamb was little fatty. Avoid the cheesecake desert.Gd choc cake

Both my Fiance and I went to visit Bella Nonna in Northwood Hills for the first time mid-week. It is an authentic family Italian restaurant. It was quite quiet as we went on a Tuesday evening and has only been open for a few months. The service was excellent, the food was cooked fresh and was very tasty. They cater to your needs and can amend the dishes if you wish. I recommend the tiger prawns for starter, sea bass for main and chocolate fudge cake for desert-yum! We will definitely go back!!

We dined at Bella Nonna Trattoria in Northwood last night. It was a very nice restaurant, although very quiet, but service was excellent.
