If going out for a good meal we always choose our local Indian Bengal Bertie's in Wood Green. It has good food, value for money and is a very enjoyable experience. However if you eat too much you won't fit in the loo! (they are very small)
We visited Bengal Bertie's near Ally Pally station (London) and had a nice meal but I wouldn't rush back. The curries were lovely flavours but missing any hot spices. The service was attentive. I've seen this restaurant mentioned as a cheap eat and I certainly wouldn't agree. It seemed normal curry restaurant prices.
