Toptable says about Bistro 1

Situated in the heart of Covent Garden, not far from Charing Cross, the Southampton Street location of Bistro1 is perfect for post-shopping pit-stops and pre-theatre meals. For hearty meals and an unpretentious vibe, Bistro1 is also a fun spot for office parties and lively nights out with groups of friends. The restaurant's service is super-friendly, but Bistro1's menu itself is the main attraction, crammed with old-fashioned favourites such as fish and chips, bangers and mash and chargrilled sardines. We love the pan-fried tuna steak with sautéed cherry tomatoes, garlic sauce and rice; the Mediterranean-style meat Moussaka with rice and salad; and the sticky and delicious homemade banoffee pie.

Yet again, we had well-cooked tasty meal before the theatre at Bistro 1. This place is always full when we go there and deservedly so.

Bistro 1 - Southampton street: brisk service but delicious food and amazing value at £10.90 for 3 tasty courses. Will definitely allow you to get to the theatre on time.

Bistro 1 had a great atmosphere, really busy and friendly. The menu offers were very good value and the food itself was fantastic.

Bistro 1 is a refreshingly good value for money eaterie close tro many theatres and Covent Garden. We asked to be served quickly as we were off to a show and our tasty avocado and prawn starter arrived in a flash, with a moist simple chicken kebab dish and well-flavoured vegetarian moussaka following soon after. Surrounded by many people of all ages this is not a flashy venue - book if you don't want to queue at busy times. I go back again and again.
