Not so long ago I was bumbling home down the Golborne Road at 11.30pm moaning to my flatmate about how there was nowhere to go after hours down the rough end of Da Grove. And then the Canalside Brasserie suddenly became The Blag and things began to look up. The brother of the original Blag on the Gate, it’ll never rival the Arts Club and the punters look like they just fell out of a brochure for Eton, but everyone seems to be having a laugh and it’s somewhere that’s open after midnight.
