Bombay Brasserie

About Bombay Brasserie

When it first opened over 25 years ago, the Bombay Brasserie became famous for its colonial-style décor and authentic Indian food. Luckily for London’s diners, the food is still just as good but the restaurant’s recent makeover has left it looking much more modern, with an elegant cream and gold colour scheme. Plush furnishings and sparkling chandeliers dominate the main dining room, while the conservatory is a light and airy space – ideal for low-key lunches. The menu has been updated with old favourites sitting alongside new dishes like slow-cooked lamb shank in a fragrant saffron sauce and curry leaf scallops with tomato chutney. While the experience doesn’t come cheap, the lunch tiffins and Sunday buffet are excellent value.

The food and service and BB is excellent. The lamb chops were out of this world! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to taste what Indians really eat in India.
