Indiana Restaurant

About Indiana Restaurant

Much more than your typical Indian restaurant, Salmon Lane’s Indiana is a real local institution. With its neon lights calling out to passers by, the hungry will be immediately tempted by the satisfied-looking diners tucking in at the window tables. Inside a chic, contemporary interior belies the fact that Indiana has been a Limehouse fixture since well before Canary Wharf made the area a hive of business activity and the place to live. Great design isn’t all that makes Indiana stand out. The interesting menu not only offers traditional Indian cuisine but the kitchen’s own ‘Evolved’ dishes – totally unique creations inspired by the many different flavours of the subcontinent.

Indiana restaurant in East London is a bit out of the way but worth a trip for above average Indian food - freshly prepared, non-oily, good selection, nice touches like small pots of tamarind sauce and deliciously dressed salad leaves. Good valeu, nice service, really worth visiting.

Really enjoyed my time at Indiana. Used TT 40% discount, which was a bonus. Our waiter was very attentive, and did not rush us in any way. We went on an early sunday, so we were the only ones to begin with, but within miniutes others had come and they were clearly regulars too. Dont be put off by the parade of shops close by, this is definitely a find. The food is good quality, I recommend the chicken sizzler- really good. Definitely recommend this place.

The Indiana really is an excellent restaurant, well deserving of the almost universally high praise it gets on TT. We visit fairly regularly, and it honestly never lets us down - the usual curries are excellent, the fancier mains are even better, the service is friendly, the prices are great ... there really is very little to complain about. We took my partner's 90 year old grandmother with us on our most recent visit, and even she loved the place!

The Indiana is a good Indian restaurant that deserves to be better known, tucked away behind Commercial Rd. Food was served hot and was well prepared and the staff were very friendly. Nearest station is Limehouse, which makes it convenient for people working in the City and prices are very reasonable compared to the City and West End. I was redeeming TT points and the menu to chose from is extensive.
