The Duke of Edinburgh
About The Duke of Edinburgh
Tucked away behind the Wood Green shopping centre in Mayes Road, the Duke of Edinburgh pub and restaurant has been fully refurbished and serves an interesting mix of Turkish and English cuisine. With a large beer garden that is also used for shisha smoking, the old Victorian pub has a modern bar and dining room which has wi-fi, large television screens for football fans and a pool table for friendly post-dining competitions. The bar serves lager on tap and a delicious range of cocktails, and the Duke of Edinburgh attracts a mixed, low-key local crowd who come for the unpretentious atmosphere and generously portioned meals. Close to Wood Green tube station and Alexandra Park, the Duke is a great place for mid-week meals and chilled out Sunday lunches.

We left immediately as this place is a dive. avoid.
The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was very good, well presented and excellent value. Having to cater for a party of nearly 40 with varied menu requirements was very demanding, but the kitchen and waiting staff were brilliant and all the meals were delivered timely, hot and well presented. Highly recommend.
