I went to Wood Street Bar in London on a Friday and the restaurant was next to the bar which had an event at that time hence it was quite noisy. The chicken breast was excellent though and the waiter gave us the directions to the Barbican Centre. On the whole, good food and great service but slightly let down by the noise.
I have been to Wood Street Bar & Restaurant a few times recently - I find it a reliably good venue with friendly staff and a quality menu. I appreciate the location and that you can visit regularly, due to the frequently changing menu. I recommend for an informal business lunch, or relaxed catch up with friends.

I recently went for lunch at the Wood Street Bar & Restaurant with my mentor. The setting is unique, overlooking a pool area of the Barbican. The food and service was of a high standard with the overall atmosphere being warm, cosy, and relaxed. I would recommend for relaxed business lunches requiring a non-stuffy setting, but not scrimping on the quality of food and drink.
