Bloody French

About Bloody French

Opt for the tube over the Eurostar and pay a visit to Notting Hill’s Bloody French for bohemian bistro cookery. This popular bijous eatery has been drawing in both locals and Francophiles since 2007 and its classic décor of black painted walls and large shared tables fairly reeks of Parisian chic. Deeply and decadently rich traditional French dishes make up the petit but perfectly formed menu, including gratinee a l’oignon (onion soup) and a slowly braised lamb shank with vegetables and apricots. The restaurant’s policy on letting customers bring their own wine from Sunday through Tuesday and set price menus make Bloody French bloody good value. Mais oui, mon chéri!

Bloody French - Notting Hill, London It was our 2nd time at this place and unfortunately the experience was inferior to the 1st visit. The food is still French-bistro-good, though some dishes lacked flavour. Service is really a low point - not efficient and not specifically friendly - after the dinner we had to go to pay at the counter, as it was impossible to get a waitress anywhere near our table.

Interesting menu options but food was a bit hit and miss. Surly you should expect better than mediocre Beef Bourguignon at a French Brasserie.

I went here for a business meal for my partner; I found all the staff to be very attentive and friendly. The food was very impressive, especially the spelt risotto and the beef bourguignon. Excellent and reasonable wine list, with great staff recommendations. The price was very low for the value and we' lI definitely go back.

Bloody French, Notting Hill, London: Very happy with the food and service. When our soup came out a little cold, it was no problem for the waiter to take it back for a fresh bowl. Only down side was the Chelsea v Barcelona game was on in the back ground which ruined the ambiance!
