The Bull and Last is an historic and critically acclaimed gastropub and restaurant located only a stone’s throw from London’s leafy Hampstead Heath. Run by an independent and passionate team, The Bull and Last is located in a grade II listed building and has been lovingly restored. The interior boasts simple wooden furniture, witty taxidermy, antler chandeliers and potted lemon trees. Great food, and service. The only slight negative is that the tables downstairs are too close to each other, meaning that your chair is frequently bumped into as the serving staff pass. A small price to pay for the superb food though.
Second time at the bull and last and had the Sunday roast. Atmosphere was great, service good too, however compared to a few other roasts (eg hawksmoor) beef rib roast was average.
Beautifully cooked food, very good ambience. Highly recommended.
We had a very pleasant evening at the Bull & Last. The menu is very inventive and has a good selection. The cod and clams were particularly delicious. Very good wine list. Will definitely come back.
Three of us enjoyed a leisurely lunch at The Bull & Last, London NW5 this week. This gastropub is a real find, with really interesting and well thought out food. To start with we shared a fish platter which was a delicious selection of different seafood, all well prepared and tasty. Main courses were excellent, as were the two puddings we shared. All in all a very good venue - we will definitely be back.
