About Arches Leisure Centre
The Arches Leisure Centre was built in 1927, with the ceremonial foundation stone visible to read at the front door. The building is listed as a site of special interest, and the internal fabric still shows signs of a varied history from the original pool hall to the decorative archways to which the centre lends its name. The modern day use of the building is a fully functioning family-friendly leisure centre with a well equipped fitness centre and two exercise studios. The centre boasts a leisure pool consisting of flumes and spa pool, and a separate fitness pool which enables lane swimming throughout the day.
