Crusting Pipe,Covent Garden Enjoyed a nice meal for 3. Sausage and mash and ham were good, but unfortunately Lancashire hot pot was very poor, small portion and not good quality. The waitress dealt with our complaint very well and replacement meal was quickly served. This recovered what could have spoilt the meal so much credit to the Service and Mgt for this. Dessert was good, and cheeseboard excellent. Rating for food would have been higher without this, would go again due to recovery, thanks

We ate at the Crusting Pipe last night as a group of four. An extremely pleasant evening - I had butternut squash soup and sea bass on black lentils - a real favourite there. We drank a couple of bottles of the house white burgundy - very passable and good value. Others in the party has some fabulous looking desserts. All up the bill was just less than £40 a head.

This pub is fully of little nooks and crannies and is ideal for a chilled beer after work. We had the pre theatre menu of 2 courses for £15.95 (or 3 for £18.95). Choice was good and food was of a relatively good standard though service was slightly slow considering it was the pre theatre sitting and service could have been friendlier. That said it is a nice pub, lots of character and was busy. Worth a try.
