Davy's St James

About Davy's St James

A short walk from Green Park tube station, Davy’s St James, a traditional wine bar and restaurant, really couldn’t boast a better location. One of a popular London mini-chain, Davy’s offers a fabulous atmosphere, great food and excellence in wine developed over almost 150 years in the industry. The styling of Davy’s St James focuses very much on the history both of the setting and the brand, the surroundings giving the impression of a meeting place that has been here for many, many years. So you’ll find a cosy spot in which to escape the busy streets, complete with candlelit tables, sawdust covered floors and shelving lined with bottles in truly traditional style. From midday onwards Davy’s St James offers a superb Modern European a la carte menu, featuring numerous delicious dishes as well as a fine selection of hot and cold bar snacks. However, the real talking point here is the wine, an excellent selection of own label drops plus vintage and modern fine wines, all carefully selected by the team to suit all tastes and be enjoyed alone or indeed alongside food.

Davy's St james , london - spent a pleasant few hours here on a Thursday evening with some sharing platters and a very good bottle of wine. Service was pleasant , and the ambience warm and welcoming ( it was snowing outside). Will come again. It was unfortunate that the ladies toilette smelt awful

Food excellent as usual and the service was much improved this time! A very cosy little place for lunch, especially on these winter days. The steak was excellent.

We had the private dining area which was very pleasant to sit in for a nice lunch, without being too secluded from the atmosphere of the restaurant. We are all very pleased with the quality of food, but unfortunately the service was extremely slow, as it has been in past occassions therefore I would only recommend this restaurant for a relaxed lunch, providing you have the time. The food is worth the wait though!

A hidden gem in the area. Charming gastropub with plenty of decent food choices in a secluded venue. Service was accommodating and warm.
